Born and brought up in Spalding in Saskatchewan after which she moved to Alberta in Canada where she completed high school. Through her teens, she developed interest in acting. For further training in acting, she attended both the National Theatre School in Montreal in Canada, as well as at the Moscow Theatre School. She has appeared on television in programmes such as "Ready or Not" and "Forever Knight". She then began her career as an actor on a film during the 1990s, with the film 'Papertrail. In the following years, she was in films like Men with Brooms and Cypher. She continued to appear in movies throughout the '00s but the roles she played were not as prominent than her TV roles.
