Meredith Salenger

Salenger is a native of California and was born in Malibu. As a child she enjoyed being a performer in front of family and friends. The mother of her child took her to her first class in acting at the age of eight old. In the John Huston-directed feature Annie, she played a tiny role where she was identified as an "singing and dancing orphan". Salenger has also appeared in a range of television advertisements. The first time she was the main character on the Disney production The Journey of Natty Gann with John Cusack and Ray Wise, the first US film to receive the gold award from the Moscow Film Festival. In addition, she won "Best Female actress in a film" at the Youth in Film Awards in recognition of her role as the tomboyish Natty. The actress also appeared in four films prior to turning 18 years old. One of them is A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon. In the following year, she was accepted to Harvard for a higher education.
