Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a New Zealand-Canadian actor who has been in movies including X-Men, X-Men, and Fly Away Home. She had not planned to pursue a career in acting, however fate decided otherwise. She was offered many roles following her debut, but decided to stay focused on studying. However, at age 14, she returned to film by taking on roles in the films 'Jane Eyre' and 'Fly Away Home. In 2000, she played the powerful mutant , 'Rogue who was a character in 'XMen one of the earliest entries in the 'X-Men' film series and brought her international recognition. Her role was re-enacted for the subsequent sequels X2: X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: The Second Stand. When she first became eligible, she was offered numerous offers of acting in television shows, such as 'True Blood and "Flack."
