Srushti started to get ready for her UPSC examination during her 3rd year as a student in engineering. Following her graduation, she started to wonder whether she could be satisfied in an engineering job. It was later discovered the dream job she wanted was working in the civil service. She started to focus on it. Parents encouraged her to become an official in the civil service and to pursue a job in the public service. Her motivation was constant and she determined to become the IAS officer. In order to be a candidate for UPSC the candidate must put in more work. She prepared for UPSC subjects while she studied her engineering. She allocated time for this exam preparation every day. In less than one month and a half, she prepared for her engineering test as well as completely avoiding social media. She believes that focusing on her work is vital to pass the examination for government jobs and work within the civil service. She was very committed to passing the test, and she put in a good number of efforts. Everyday, she was reading the paper to stay on top of the latest news. Also, she received a lot of support online by collecting various studying materials as well as watching Rajya Sabha TV.
