A successful career may conceal the most tragic of tales. A winner of both the USA and World championships in hurdle events, Lolo Jones has reached her current position after plenty of effort and enormous amount of perseverance. Jones had a difficult childhood due to her being raised by a single mom within a large household. Her mother was always moving around as well as having lived in a basement church for a short length of time. Jones had a nomadic and mobile life up until she enrolled in the high school system, was required to transfer to a brand new school each year. Jones, who was interested in athletics at Theodore Roosevelt high school, stayed in a different place from her mother so that she could explore her interest. She lived with four different families during her time in high school, in order to learn at one location. Jones was awarded her Gatorade track and field Athlete-of-the year award at the high school level. As a student cellist, Jones was also part of her school's school orchestra. Jones was among the best hurdlers in her age group when she first entered the college. At the 2002 NCAA Track and Field Championships, she won the 100-meter hurdles. Jones was also part of the team that finished second in the 100-meter relay. Jones is the NCAA Champion in indoor hurdles both in 2003 and 2014. Jones began her track and field career in 2005 after she completed her studies at the university. That same year she was the winner of in the Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026 she took home the Ostrava Track event as well as Heusden.

Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town in South Africa. She immigrated to Auckland New Zealand with her family during her late teens. Brandt was found by casting directors in her home town and was cast in the part as Naevia for the Starz smash Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. The performance was well-loved among the public and producer Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. She starred in the hit Netflix series Lucifer which had a 6 year run. She played the most loved Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Forbes named Lucifer as the most watched show of 2021. Brandt can next be seen opposite Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in the limited series of six episodes Walking Dead spin-off which airs in 2024. Brandt is also set to star alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated comedy Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley-Ann Brandt is an South African actress born in Cape town on the 2nd of December, 1981. She is an accomplished New Zealand actress. Lesley Brandt moved with her entire New Zealand family to Auckland in the year 1999. In Auckland, Brandt began as a salesperson and then was made an expert in IT. After a few modelling projects, Lesley appeared in many commercials. She earned her degree with a specialization in acting in the year 2008. Then in 2009, she started training in Meisner methods of study. Lesley Brandt landed her first important acting role with New Zealand in TV Drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt was a guest supporting actress on New Zealand's TV drama Shortland Street. Later she appeared in a sci-fi thriller called This Is Not My Life that is based on the fictional city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt was cast as Naevia the hostage's young daughter and depicted later in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena miniature-series of the Television show Spartacus: Blood and Sand.
